Welcom recently launched the newest version of its Web-based project collaboration tool, WelcomHome, which enables organizations to manage distributed project teams. It provides improved collaboration between team members and controls document management and access to centralized project information.
The software is designed for organizations with many departments, where many people working on the same project must record action items on paper. Through a Web-browser, project team members can view their responsibilities and action items, share information, and remotely update their progress. Access to real-time schedule data (including data from Microsoft Project) allows project managers to control projects more closely and deal with potential problems quickly. The system also makes overall project health more visible to both the team and external contractors.
