WFI to deploy building optical networks in select buildings

March 21, 2005—Wireless Facilities, Inc. has announced that it was selected by a Fortune 100 firm to install building optical networks for several of its commercial buildings.

The optical networks being deployed allow multiple in-building services including wireless access to be converged onto one delivery system, allowing building owners and property managers to reduce costs, while increasing services and amenities to tenants, the company says. To deploy these optical networks, WFI has formed a strategic relationship with San Diego-based ISP services company Bandwidth Now. These networks will be installed in select buildings in several locations throughout the US.
