April 12, 2002—Williams Scotsman, a provider of modular buildings and mobile offices, has partnered with Inet OnSite, a Web-camera service for the construction industry, to offer customers a real-time, Web-based record of the entire construction process. The service improves coordination between designers and builders, allows builders to promote their construction projects to customers and prospects, and establishes a permanent visual record of the project.
Using the service, customers can see pictures of their projects according to their schedule, whenever they want, using the Internet. All software, configuration and Internet servers are provided and maintained by Inet architects. The customer is not required to have any level of computer expertise, and installation is done using a pre-configured equipment kit and phone support.
