December 8, 2004—The World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) has launched its new Web site, a global portal for green building news. Ch Wall, WorldGBC chair, said, “The WorldGBC Web site will be an invaluable tool providing architects, engineers, students, researchers, legislators, and the media with the opportunity to follow the latest news about green building design and construction.”
The Web site is the first in a number of WorldGBC initiatives designed to serve the global real estate and development industry and to help transform it into a sector in which sustainability is a core value. The site is expected to become a highly valuable source of information, news, data, and opinion about the green building practices and developments worldwide.
The site will promote international sustainability events as well as the interaction of likeminded individuals from around the world, and will provide a roadmap for other countries to set up their own not-for-profit Council.
The World Green Building Council is a global federation of Green Building Councils from around the world whose common goal is the sustainable transformation of the global property industry.
