December 14, 2001—Xcel Energy, the nation’s fourth largest combined electric and natural gas utility, selected MRO Software’s MAXIMO for enterprise asset maintenance. Xcel Energy will use MAXIMO in its fossil, hydro, and alternative energy generating facilities. This represents 69 generating facilities with the total capacity of 13,750 megawatts. With MAXIMO, Xcel Energy can streamline its complex operations environment, automating and tracking preventive maintenance routines, work order schedules, and maintenance resources. MAXIMO’s reputed ease of use helps facilitate the change management process as Xcel Energy integrates its three operating companies.
