XENERGY joins EPA’s green power partnership leadership club

September 18, 2002—XENERGY Inc., has committed to support renewable energy for all 25 of its offices nationwide by purchasing green tags for 50% of its annual energy use. By exceeding the basic commitment level by more than a factor of four, XENERGY joins the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership’s Leadership Club, reserved for companies making exceptional commitments to renewable energy.

On September 1, 2002, XENERGY, an energy consulting firm, began purchasing green tags through three organizations, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Native Energy and Sterling Planet. XENERGY’s green tags are generated by new wind plants and solar plants.

EPA’s Green Power Partnership is a new voluntary program that seeks to reduce the environmental impact of electricity generation by fostering the development of green power. For more information, contact XENERGY.
