ZAP’s newest electric vehicles offer multi-purpose town fleet driving

October 2, 2006—ZAP (Zero Air Pollution), provider of fuel-efficient advanced technology vehicles, has introduced two new electric vehicles to the US market in recent months.

Amid record oil prices in July, the company started delivering its new Xebra three-wheeled electric vehicles. ZAP calls the Xebra a “City-Car,” with a top speed of 40 mile per hour and pricing under $10,000. It is designed to offer an economical alternative to gas cars, useful for around-town fleet driving.

The vehicle is manufactured in China, and is available in white with black zebra stripes.

In August, the company introduced the Xebra PK, a two-passenger, three-wheeled electric vehicle with a multi-purpose platform in back that can serve as a hauler, dump truck, or flatbed. Priced at under $10,000, Xebra PK is designed as a gas-free alternative for multi-purpose city driving, whether for industrial fleets, parking enforcement, commuting, or inter-campus transportation.
