June 3, 2005—Zircon Corporation has introduced the world’s first intelligent wall scanners, representing the most important breakthrough in scanning technology since Zircon invented the original electronic stud finder in 1980, the company says.
Three versions are being offered. The MultiScanner i700 OneStep has three modes to quickly handle every scanning need including: 1) Stud Mode to find wood or metal studs or joists; 2) Metal Mode to search exclusively for metal pipes or wire; and 3) AC Scan Mode to map out the sub-surface location of hot electrical wires even when they’re encased in plastic conduit.
For those who need just a single-function stud finder, Zircon has two to choose from, Stud Sensori65 OneStep and StudSensor i60 OneStep. Both include the same intelligent technologies found in MultiScanner i700 OneStep, but in single-function tools designed specifically to find wood and metal studs.
