DFC/Electrovaya combo will streamline process of collecting data on roofs

July 23, 2003—Digital Facilities Corporation (DFC), a provider of roofing asset management software, and Electrovaya Inc., manufacturer of portable power technology for wireless devices and developer of the Tablet PC “Scribbler,” have signed an agreement to prebundle DFC software on Electrovaya’s Scribbler Tablet PC as a package for specific user segments.

Combining the two technologies will make it easier for roofing contractors, consultants, or building owners to collect critical data while on the roof or out in the field, and will save them the step of having to reenter the data when they return to their offices.

DFC’s roofing asset management software includes InfoRoof Professional (IRP), which features an organized database system, roof maintenance program, and high- quality report generators. Electrovaya’s Scribbler Tablet PC, powered by the company’s Lithium Ion SuperPolymer rechargeable battery, offers a run time of 8- 16 hours, which DFC says is significantly longer than any other tablet PC on the market today.
