October 1, 2001—Innowave Incorporated, a Mutual of Omaha subsidiary, has introduced the innowave LF countertop drinking water treatment system designed to provide the highest quality drinking water. The system uses ultra violet light disinfection with carbon block filtration to reduce bacteria and problematic contaminants in drinking water. Ultra violet light’s reliability against microbiological bacteria, such as giardia and cryptosporidium, is a popular technology in water treatment systems. Innowave LF’s one-micron carbon block filter reduces lead, asbestos, atrazine, benzene, mercury, thihalomethanes, cryptosporidium, and chlorine. More, says Innowave, it assures great-tasting water. The system hooks up directly to the incoming water line. It has a built-in indicator lamp to alert users when it is time to change the UV bulb, and the front panel flips open for self-servicing of the filter and UV bulb. Unlike other countertop models, says Innowave, the system efficiently chills incoming water. For more information contact Innowave.
