June 14, 2002—SMART Technologies’ latest SMART Board software for the Microsoft Windows operating system enables presenters and teachers to more actively engage audiences and interact with multimedia materials. The upgrade, which includes SMART Board driver 7.1 and SMART Notebook 2.5 software, features SMART Video Player, expanded interaction with Microsoft Word and Excel applications, and the ability to create templates in SMART Notebook files.
The upgrade enables users to annotate over moving or still video, write directly into Microsoft Word and Excel files, and create templates in SMART Notebook software. The SMART Board upgrade for Windows, including SMART Board driver 7.1 and SMART Notebook 2.5 software, is available as a free download to SMART customers. SMART customers can also download SMART Board software for Macintosh computers. This version features USB support and includes SMART Board driver 6.0 and SMART Notebook 1.3 software.
