Giuliani and CB Richard Ellis partner to help real estate clients with emergency preparedness

April 11, 2003—Giuliani Partners LLC and CB Richard Ellis have formed a strategic alliance to help the real estate industry meet the emerging needs and demands in todays global environment.

Giuliani Partners will use its proven crisis management expertise to advise current and future CB Richard Ellis clients on complex business issues related to emergency preparedness, business continuity, security, fire safety, transportation, location and site assessment, and other vital business interests.

In turn, CB Richard Ellis will offer Giuliani Partners clients an array of capabilities, including global real estate market knowledge; property, facilities and project management; appraisal services; and financing abilities.

Giuliani Partners is a management consulting firm founded by Rudolph W. Giuliani and staffed by his team of senior staff, many of whom served with him during his eight-year tenure as Mayor of New York City. CB Richard Ellis is the largest commercial real estate services company in the world.

“Businesses have looked at these issues before, but over the past 18 months there is much more concern over safety and security,” said Giuliani, the chairman and CEO of Giuliani Partners. “As a result, they are looking to address these issues in a more systematic way and anticipate problems before they occur. Businesses now want to do a comprehensive assessment of their needs, ranging from economic viability, to quality-of-life and to safety and security, before they move to a different location.”

According to CB Richard Ellis, the companies will work together to address issues such as ensuring the safety and enhancing the perception of safety of employees, and understanding the financial implications, risks and rewards of a real estate plan.
