FM industry-wide survey launches through FMLink

March 31, 2004—Six leading facility management organizations and publications have partnered to conduct the largest, most comprehensive industry-wide FM survey to date. They are: the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), FMLink; Building Operating Management magazine; the Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE); the Building Owners & Managers Association International (BOMA); and APPA: The Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers.

These six major players in the FM industry are pooling their respective member and subscriber databases for a net total of more than 150,000 names of facility management professionals who will be surveyed online (through FMLink only). Results are expected to be tabulated in the second quarter and shared with the entire FM community.

The survey examines some of the changes facing the profession, such as demographics, education, skills, areas of responsibility and trends; and thus, will help the participating organizations understand how to assist their constituent members and readers in their daily responsibilities and career development.

FMLink invites all its visitors to participate in the survey, which will take only 12 minutes to complete. The survey is for all facilities professionals, including those who work both in-house or for an FM service provider. To participate in the survey, click here .
