NIOSH publication covers safety and health applications of nanotechnology

July 29, 2005—The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has released a new publication covering the safety and health implications of nanotechnology, such as whether a NIOSH-certified filter could protect against nano-sized airborne contaminants.

The “Focus on Nanotechnology: Occupational Safety and Health Applications and Implications Research at NIOSH” Web newsletter will provide regular, timely information about developments in NIOSH’s strategic research program on nanotechnology.

More information and links to further resources can be found on the NIOSH Safety and Health Topic site for Nanotechnology.
