AEE offers online energy management training

August 15, 2005—The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) now offers three forms of online training programs in the dynamic field of energy efficiency, utility deregulation, facility management, plant engineering, and environmental compliance.

24-7 Online University: AEE’s new 24/7 online seminars offer a way to take several high-quality professional courses and earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Professional Development Hours (PDHs) without the need to travel or be out of the office. After registration, the seminar material is available online for a full 30 days. Once the course material is finished and an online examination is successfully completed, an individual Certificate of Completion can be printed.

Realtime Distance Learning: Energy professionals can now participate in an AEE seminar anywhere there is access to the Internet and a telephone. This live, instructor-guided online training allows individuals to hear an instructor over the phone while they watch his/her live visual presentation directly on a computer screen. Live questions can be asked, and live answers will be given immediately. The programs include: Utility Cost Control, Liquid Flow Measurement for Utility Systems, Introduction to Power Quality, and 3D Load Profiling Using Interval Meter Data.

Self-Paced Internet Training Courses: AEE also offers several self-paced online courses: Basics of Energy Management, Cogeneration and Its Uses, Building Energy Management, Fundamentals of HVAC Systems, and Disaster and Recovery Planning.
