October 21, 2005—Intuit Inc.’s Construction business Solutions division unveils Master Builder Version 11, described by Intuit as the most advanced product in the company’s line of construction industry software. Incorporating extensive customer feedback, Master Builder Version 11 is designed to work the way contractors work, from installation to completing daily tasks.
Master Builder Version 11’s new licensing model offers contractors greater flexibility and cost savings. Business owners can now purchase licenses just for the number of users who need simultaneous access, but can install the software on as many computers as neededat home, in the office, or on a laptop in the field. The new Master Builder software also includes Master Builder Administration, a central, secure “command center,” says Intuit, to manage the program and number of concurrent users.
Master Builder Version 11 comes standard with new tools and added convenience to help contractors and their employees more efficiently manager their businesses. New features include:
- Document Control Module manages requests for information through to punch lists; create and track responses to project documents. It comes standard with the software.
- Copy Company Function allows users to create a new company database with the existing setup, vendor, and job information, but without financial transactions. This allows construction firms to create different companies for various projects.
Add-on modules, including Estimating, Service Receivables and Inventory, are now offered on a company-wide basis, rather than a per-user basis. Features of the Service Receivables and Inventory modules are now conveniently combined into one module.
Master Builder Version 11 is available through a national channel of Solution Providers for $2,295 per concurrent user license. Add-on modules include: Services Receivables/inventory, $1,495, and Estimating, $1,195.
