Rieck Group now using Datastream to drive service delivery business

October 26, 2005—Datastream Systems, Inc. has announced that Rieck Group LLC has deployed the Datastream 7i(TM) Asset Performance Management solution to drive its new service delivery business. This new business unit enables large facilities—such as hospitals, universities, k-12 schools, local governments, office parks and manufacturing plants—to manage and collaborate with service vendors and Rieck Group technicians through a consolidated Datastream 7i-based Asset Performance Management network.

Founded in 1892 in Dayton, Ohio, Rieck Group provides construction, mechanical-electrical and facility-management services. Through Datastream 7i, Rieck Group provides its customers with Web-based “self-serve” work-request capabilities and value-added benchmarking tools. This combination allows the Rieck Group to automate the work-order process and orchestrate optimal maintenance routines.

As part of the deployment, Rieck Group integrated Datastream 7i with its financial software, automating the invoicing process and eliminating the costs and inefficiencies of paper-based invoicing. As a result, Rieck Group’s customers expend fewer resources on accounts payable and service organizations are paid faster.

Datastream provides Asset Performance Management software and services to enterprises worldwide, including more than 60 percent of the Fortune 500. By using Datastream’s solutions, customers can maintain and manage capital assets—such as manufacturing equipment, vehicle fleets and buildings—and create analyses and forecasts so they can take action to improve future performance.
