November 18, 2005—Osram Sylvania continues to bridge the gap between the requirements of white light illumination and the capabilities of LED technology with the introduction of the DRAGONstick to the DRAGON family of hi-flux LED modules, says the company. Joining both the DRAGONtape and the DRAGONpuck modules, the unique DRAGONstick design offers even more choices for illuminating an ever widening range of spaces.
Two versions of the DRAGONstick system are available, with either 6 or 12 Golden DRAGON hi-flux LEDs mounted on a metal substrate circuit board with 6-inch wires on each end. This one-of-a-kind design offers a number of application ideas including shelf, display, refrigeration and freezer case lighting.
The DRAGONstick features include a long service life of up to 50,000 hours, reduced maintenance costs, and a low profile (<5mm) enabling the modules to be used in applications where space is limited. These extremely durable LED modules are also low-wattage and offer an environmentally responsible lighting solution.
