Linc wins operations and maintenance contract with Irvine Company

January 11, 2006—Linc Facility Services, LLC (LFS) was awarded an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract by the Office Properties division of The Irvine Company, the company announced.

Headquartered in Newport Beach, California, the Irvine Company is a 110-year old, privately held real estate investment company in Orange County, California.

LFS will provide O&M services for buildings located in the Irvine Spectrum, including the University Research Park, Irvine Business Center, and Irvine Technology Center. Begun in 1985, the 5,000-acre Irvine Spectrum is one of the largest master-planned centers for research, technology, and business in the world, with approximately 2,500 businesses in the Greater Irvine Spectrum Area employing approximately 55,000 people.

Under this contract, LFS will perform O&M services for all HVAC, electrical distribution systems, back-up power systems, fire protection, and fire and life safety systems, says LFS. The company will implement the use of Linc Wireless handheld technology to manage these projects enabling the company to increase worker productivity and create a more fluid work environment.
