Williams Scotsman and DEWALT team up for theft prevention at construction jobsites

March 17, 2006—Williams Scotsman International, Inc., a leading provider of modular space solutions, announces a strategic relationship with DEWALT Industrial Tool Company to integrate the SITELOCK portable wireless alarm system into its mobile office fleet for use on construction jobsites.

With theft being the number one concern for contractors, Williams Scotsman’s mobile offices for construction sites will come equipped with the SITELOCK Jobsite Security Portable Alarm System base unit and motion sensor(s). Customers agreeing to usage terms need only follow simple instructions to lease and activate the system.

SITELOCK also offers others sensors and accessories designed to communicate wirelessly with the base unit and protect key assets on a jobsite up to 2,000 feet away.

DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of power tools, has conducted research that identified jobsite theft as a major problem for the construction industry. Losses of more than $1 billion in the US each year are due in part to a lack of effective security solutions for jobsite assets.

SITELOCK is a user-friendly system that can be customized for different jobsite needs and requirements. Through the base unit, stationed in an indoor location (most often the jobsite trailer), the remote sensors—such as a container vibration sensor, security cable lock, indoor motion sensor and door/window contact sensor—can be programmed individually to monitor key assets and areas on the jobsite.

Williams Scotsman International, Inc., is a leading national provider of mobile and modular building solutions for the construction, education, commercial, healthcare and government markets. For more information, visit the Web site.
