August 18, 2006—Solar Hut, Inc. has introduced what it calls the world’s brightest solar powered flood light.
The floodlight model GMSL-108 incorporates 108 white Light Emitting Diodes to produce illumination that covers an area of up to 70 square feet, says the company.
Requiring approximately 6 to 8 hours of sunshine exposure, the incorporated 12 watts solar module charges up the built-in gel cell battery. On a full charge, it illuminates for up to 12 hours before requiring recharge. The floodlight package comes with a weatherproof 10 watts rugged solar module with a 20 feet cable.
The floodlight is housed in weather-proof cast aluminum casing. Its operation is fully automatic. It comes on at dusk and off at dawn. It comes with a one-year warranty.
