December 6, 2006—The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) has announced that for the first time it is to develop and deliver its own business continuity management training services.
Details of the courses that will be offered have not yet been announced, but the courses will be based on BCI’s Good Practice Guidelines and the new business continuity British Standard, BS25999.
The Good Practice Guidelines, written and compiled by BCI members, provide a generic framework for business continuity that can be used by continuity professionals.
The BCI says the decision to offer training is in response to demand, and notes that the program will be developed first in English, with future opportunities to develop it in translation.
BCI was established in 1994 to enable members to obtain guidance and support from fellow business continuity practitioners. For more information, visit the Web site.
