April 6, 2007—Lenel Systems International, a global leader in software and integrated security systems for government and commercial markets, introduced several new technologies at the ISC West trade show in Las Vegas recently. They include a new Intelligent Dual Reader Controller, a full line of color IP digital cameras, and prepackaged intelligent video solutions.
The Lenel Intelligent Dual Reader Controller combines an advanced, network-enabled intelligent system controller with a full-featured, two-door reader interface module. According to the company, it offers a direct connection to the security network via Ethernet and provides up to eight times the throughput of serial-to-Ethernet conversion utilized by previous generation devices.
The IP digital cameras, says Lenel, offer high video quality and network performance at competitive prices. The new product line also includes lenses, housings, monitors, mounts and other video management accessories.
The seven intelligent video solutions introduced by Lenel address common video surveillance situations. The new software provides a simplified user interface and will make implementation easier to manage by bundling a number of Lenel’s video analysis algorithms and preconfiguring them.
