Mango and ICI collaborate on wireless video surveillance technology

August 29, 2007—Mango DSP, a leading provider of intelligent video servers for the CCTV, video surveillance, homeland security defense markets, and its affiliate ICI Networks, a leader in municipal wireless integrated systems, have announced that the new ICI Wireless Metropolitan Base Station (WMBS) will now feature advanced video processing capabilities enabled by the integration of Mango DSP Raven HX 104 Intelligent Video Server into its Modular platform.

In response to growing customer requirements for cost effective wireless network integration of video processing technology, current and future customers of ICI’s Wireless Metropolitan Base Station will now have the option to integrate the Mango DSP Raven HX 104 video server and transform standard analog video surveillance cameras into proactive sentinels that deliver reliable high performance video streaming and content analysis, say the companies.

The Modular platform of the Wireless Metropolitan Base Station has been designed to accommodate future technologies such as Mango DSP’s video processing solutions through the use of industry standard hardware. The modular platform, designed for cost effective flexibility, allows end users to ‘hot-swap’ device modules while maintaining network uptime.

ICI Networks designs and develops solutions that maximize the power and effectiveness of wireless applications. The company’s modular architecture enhances the ability to evolve system designs with changing application requirements and available wireless standards.

Mango DSP develops and manufactures advanced video solutions for the CCTV, defense and homeland security markets. The company operates from its Jerusalem headquarters and offices in the US.
