Zumtobel launches next generation of Slotlight, re-introduces Light Fields line

January 11, 2008—Zumtobel has re-introduced the Light Fields product line, and launched the next generation of Slotlight Pro recessed lights.

With the addition of two new fixtures and the new PF option for the 2X2 Recessed Cluster and the 1X4 Recessed fixture, the Light Fields family of lights offers ease of specification and flexibility ideal for many application types, says the company.

Products on offer include recessed, recessed cluster and surface-mounted lights.

The line offers excellent glare control, making the luminaire ideal for offices, computer rooms, corridors, reception areas, video-conferencing areas and healthcare applications, notes Zumtobel.

The fixture’s shallow housing of clear anodized aluminum creates a clean look on the ceiling and the Plaster Frame Kit (PF) option allows a flangeless appearance. Designed so that the light—not the lamp—is visible, the fixture is unobtrusive, clear, and minimalist, effectively blending into the architecture of its surroundings.

The company has also released the next generation of Slotlight Pro recessed lights. While maintaining the original Slotlight Pro’s aesthetic appeal, the fixture’s new design allows for installation in existing ceilings. The luminaire’s new profile is straight-edged, and the new fixture offers increased efficiency, ease of installation, and configuration flexibility, says the company.

Slotlight Pro does not produce socket shadows or hot spots, therefore creating a uniform, seamless line of light. The lights are ideal for corridors, lobbies and reception areas, open and private offices, retail stores, high-end commercial applications and any application where superior aesthetics and performance are required.
