November 14, 2012—The Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM), a membership organization empowering retail facilities professionals by delivering industry best practices, education, forums and partnerships, has released a new guide to help retail FMs reduce the environmental impact from materials and services procured for use in store maintenance, retrofits and upgrades.
The Retail Facilities Green Procurement Resource Guide (under “Green Procurement/Guides”) is a nine-page instructional document with links to more than 30 additional resources, all designed to educate the retail facilities manager on challenges and best practices on the topic, says PRSM. Sample case studies, policy drafts, scorecards and other resources from PRSM members are also provided.
