American Seating to replace seats at Chicagos U.S. Cellular field

June 3, 200—American Seating has been selected as the supplier of all 36,000 seats at U.S. Cellular field, the home of the Chicago White Sox, says the company. The new seats are being installed in 2005 and 2006. Forest green seats, similar in design to those installed in Detroits Comerica Park, will replace blue seats installed in 1991 when the stadium was built, the company says.

This spring, the White Sox introduced a new scout seating area located directly behind home plate. The new seats, made by American Seating, feature the companys new Spirit chair released in 2004. This chair, which has been installed at NASCARs Dover International Speedway as well as many new auditoriums around the country, gives fans the same “bird’s eye view” that professional baseball scouts use to evaluate players, says American Seating.

American Seating offers seating solutions for lecture halls, auditoriums, sports stadiums, arenas, and performing arts centers. The company also serves the commercial and government markets with office furnishings. To learn more, visit the company Web site.
