February 24, 2003—A new line of color-coded, half-inch prime resin tubing makes installation and maintenance of drip irrigation systems easier by enabling “at-a glance” identification of specific watering zones without major disruption to the existing landscape or irrigation system. Produced by Rain Bird Corporation, manufacturer of irrigation equipment and water management products, the Xeri Black Stripe Tubing (XBS) is available in green, purple, or yellow striped patterns.
The color stripe design allows for quick identification of different watering zones within a trench, allowing the landscape professional to specify different types of watering zones next to each other. This reduces the time needed to install and maintain the system, while conserving water and promoting healthy landscapes, says the company.
Designed for use with all drip systems, XBS tubing is UV resistant, and is able to be installed at or below grade, while exceeding competitor specifications with a 60-psi rating. In addition, the competitively priced tubing can be purchased in 100, 500 and 1,000 foot coils, and is backed by Rain Bird’s warranty. For more information, visit Rain Bird.
