Compass Group is acquiring Morrison Management Specialists, the US healthcare and senior living/retirement foodservice company, for $563 million (382 million). Compass Group is a global foodservice company and a major player in the US foodservice market. In the US, the healthcare foodservice market is estimated to have annual revenues in excess of $16 billion, of which approximately 30% is outsourced to specialist foodservice organizations. All members of the senior management teams of Morrison will maintain their current leadership roles, and Morrison will continue to operate under the Morrison name.
