February 14, 2005—The Dynasound DS2500 Soundmasker Series protects windows, doors and walls again human and electronic eavesdropping techniques by applying full bandwidth soundmasking to the applied surface. The unit is lightweight and easy to install, yet designed for continuous use in accepting a mix of soundmasking, music and misinformation signals.
The unit may be attached to the interior side of any window, applied to the surface of any door, or applied to a wall, according to the company. In all applications the integrity of the surface remains intact. Because of its compact size, the DS2500 series can be inconspicuously installed in a variety of locations while still being highly effective.
The DS2500 series is designed to protect the perimeter surfaces of a secure environment against eavesdropping, resonating them with soundmasking and/or misinformation. It is effective against laser eavesdropping techniques, as well as the use of parabolic microphones. When controlled by Dynasounds DS102 Series security generators and amplifiers, it also protects against sophisticated signal recovery techniques designed to capture conversations buried within the soundmasking signal.
