FSI’s eBinder automates compliance reporting within its healthcare-specific CMMS

Posted by Brianna Crandall — August 10, 2022 — FSI, a Pittsburgh-based provider of computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) solutions for healthcare organizations, has launched eBinders, an electronic binder designed to automate compliance reporting. The product gives healthcare service professionals a way to organize and keep track of compliance reports and dashboards from one location within FSI’s healthcare-specific CMMS platform, CMS.

With over 80% of U.S. hospitals accredited by The Joint Commission, compliance preparation and preventive maintenance is a priority for thousands of healthcare service professionals nationwide. Compliance violations, safety issues and inefficient processes can hurt an organization’s bottom line, and with staffing shortages and labor challenges being felt across the industry, helping facilities and healthcare technology management teams save time and build more efficient processes were main drivers in developing the software.

Derek Smith, director of Technology at FSI, remarked:

Healthcare service professionals should feel confident for any and every inspection. Whether it’s pulling up relevant documents at your desk or walking the floor with an inspector, eBinders gives back time to our facilities and healthcare technology management partners.

FSI and The Joint Commission identified common challenges among healthcare service professionals, and created eBinders with the following core benefits:

  • Save time on reviews by eliminating physical reports and organizing binders;
  • Cut down on errors with standardized naming conventions for each automated binder report;
  • Automate reporting by creating monthly, recurring inspection-ready reports that are available anytime, anywhere; and
  • Quickly locate files by month, building, compliance indicators, custom tags and more with enhanced search functionality.
