October 31, 2001—Spicer Corp., a developer of interoperable document viewing, markup, scanning, and editing software, has released version 6.3 of its Imagenation visualization, markup, and scanning tool. New features include native file format support and a license manager utility.
Imagenation enables users to quickly and accurately display and markup more than 150 file formats. New file format support in Imagenation 6.3 includes: AutoCAD 2002; Cadra 11; Gerber RS 274-D and RS 274-X; Scalable Vector Graphics; Microsoft Office 2000 and 2002 (XP) for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and enhancements to PDF, PS, and RTL support.
A license manager has also been added to simplify network administration. It provides security that grants access to Imagenation through a TCP/IP network. This gives administrators new flexibility for configuring concurrent Imagenation client sessions from a server installation.
