December 3, 2001—Johnson Controls, Inc. has been selected by JC Penney to provide facility maintenance services to JCPenney department stores throughout the United States. Johnson Controls was chosen for its ability to deliver standardized facility maintenance services at all of the retailer’s locations.
The scope of services provided to the JCPenney stores will range from periodic maintenance to a fully integrated package that includes operation and maintenance, environmental services and MRO (maintenance, repair and operating) purchases for the 1,080-department store chain. The Johnson Controls Global Operations Center, located in Atlanta, will provide 24-hour call center operations for the JCPenney stores.
