August 8, 2007 — Axis Communications has introduced a wireless network camera for a demanding market that requires optimal flexibility and ease of installation as well as secure communication, says the company.
The system is intended for locations such as retail stores, offices, hotels and university campuses, says the company.
The omni-directional indoor antenna included with the product is exchangeable for further flexibility. The bundle option with outdoor antenna and housing is intended for situations such as a light pole in a parking lot, where power but no network connection is available.
The two-way audio functionality allows users to listen in on an area and communicate with visitors or intruders, and provides a detection alarm at a configurable audio level.
