July 7, 2006—Champion Polymer Recycling, a division of Infiltrator Systems, was recently honored as Recycler of the Year by the Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) for its successful polypropylene carpet recovery system.
Infiltrator Systems manufactures septic leachfield chambers for the wastewater industry. The chambers are environmentally friendly and made from 100 percent recycled polypropylene plastic, a key component of which is the polypropylene carpet recycled by the Champion division.
Honored alongside Champion was Ronald Greitzer, president of Los Angeles Fiber, reportedly the world’s largest recycler of post-consumer carpet.
Greitzer was named CARE’s Person of the Year for his tireless efforts in the field of carpet recovery.
