June 24, 2002—Chesterton Workplace Management has been awarded a 12m facilities management contract by Investment management group INVESCO Perpetual UK.
The three-year contract, which has an option of being renewed every year after the initial term, will see CWM provide total FM at INVESCOs offices in Henley-on-Thames and London. The latter building will be occupied in November this year.
Services will include planned maintenance, catering at two staff restaurants, mailroom management, site security, reprographics, cleaning and landscaping as well as health and safety.
CWM will also move INVESCO into the 11,890 sq m London offices in Finsbury Square and manage the companys energy needs. The Henley location comprises a total of 16,721 sq m of office space.
Rod Ellis, finance director of INVESCO UK, said: “A key factor in our decision to outsource was to access professional expertise and resources. The right cultural fit between INVESCO and Chesterton Workplace Management was also imperative, as we view this step as a long-term partnership.”
