Controlled Power’s Model ELE is centralized emergency lighting inverter

December 15, 2006—The new elite Model ELE centralized emergency lighting inverter has been introduced by Controlled Power Company, a worldwide manufacturer of products providing complete electrical power conditioning and protection.

Meeting the NFPA 101 and NFPA 111 standards, the Model ELE is considered “Life Safety Equipment,” according to the company. The UL 924 and UL/cUL 1778 listed Model ELE provides uninterrupted, regulated, continuous sinewave output for use with “normally on” lighting fixtures and exit lamps; as well as standby output for use with “normally off” emergency lighting fixtures.

Designed with a small footprint, the Model ELE includes front-access system design, and front-access distribution behind a lockable drop-down panel door. It also offers design flexibilities that are not provided with competing lighting inverters, including multi-voltage capabilities, UL 924A auxiliary power supply, remote input command, local control device override, and zone sensing.

Available in 2 to 18 kVA/kW single-phase sizes, elite Model ELE is geared for schools/universities, security systems, prisons, worship facilities, arenas/stadiums, subways, parking garages, hospital, office/residential building, shopping malls, airport terminals, casinos/resorts, hotels and other similar heavily populated applications where life safety is imperative.
