July 30, 2007—Dalkia, the global energy services company, has launched a new sustainable energy services solution designed to help organizations actively cut their emissions and at the same time reduce energy costs for sustainable business development.
Dalkia says its CarbonCare solution is currently saving over six million metric tons of carbon for its customers each year. Dalkia’s customers cover a variety of industries, from commercial and the public sector to retail, healthcare, and manufacturing.
CarbonCare services are grouped into three main areas specifically designed to identify the carbon footprint of sites and buildings, reduce consumption, and utilize sources of clean energy such as CHP and biomass. The services include energy and environmental auditing, operational energy efficiency, and strategies that cover the application of modern control technology, installation and management of energy plants, and carbon trading within the EUETS.
Dalkia notes that CarbonCare capabilities extend over BMS, hot water, HVAC, lighting, energy procurement, combined heat and power, refrigeration, standby generation, sustainable energy, compressed air, demand side management, and bill validation.
