E.ON first energy company to join UK Green Building Council

March 19, 2008—The UK Green Building Council marked its first anniversary with an announcement that E.ON is the first major energy supply company to join the organization. E.ON was recently appointed to the UK-GBC task group on the definition of zero carbon and now joins as a full member of the UK-GBC.

Paul King, Chief Executive of UK-GBC, commented, “It’s fantastic to get E.ON on board as our first energy supplier, which follows their very welcome contribution to our ongoing work on zero carbon. The boundaries between the energy sector and the construction sector are becoming ever more blurred, and so this close collaboration is going to be essential going forwards.”
