August 15, 2005—The US Department of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) is offering its comprehensive lighting efficiency training course over the Internet this fall as a self-paced, Web-based distance learning class. FEMP Lights course materials can be downloaded from the class Web site from work, home, or anywhere the Internet can be accessed. Instructors and students communicate online.
The class is tailored to the needs of federal energy managers who supervise lighting projects or who want to learn more about the essentials of lighting efficiency. The curriculum features information on the latest technology and the current lighting codes. It addresses workplace lighting, including offices, institutional, industrial, and warehouse spaces.
Registration for the fall course begins on August 29 and ends December 12, 2005. Completion of the course offers 18 credits for NCQLP re-accreditation.
