FMDesktop 6.5 adds user-requested features and functions

September 26, 2005—Applied Spatial Technologies, Inc. has announced that it is launching Version 6.5 of FMDesktop, its industry leading CAFM software application.

FMDesktop delivers comprehensive CAFM capabilities at an affordable price and is ideal for managing all types of facilities including hospitals, schools, manufacturing facilities, and financial institutions, says the company.

Dynamic Plan Views, a new feature in 6.5, allow for the point and click creation of color-coded drawings that visually illustrate any user-defined purpose. Floor finishes, wall coverings, roofing materials, and more may all be graphically represented quickly and easily, no special skills required, says Applied Spatial.

Other new and improved features in the new FMDesktop version include room and building finishes, ondition assessment tools, staff credentials tracking, leasing information tracking for buildings, and the ability to group multiple assets on a single work request to facilitate inspection processes.

The version also allows allocation history reports that meet the new Medicare/Medicaid reporting requirements.

The FMDesktop software suite is a comprehensive CAFM solution used for space management, asset management, emergency management, and maintenance management. FMDesktop 6.5 will begin shipping in December of 2005. For more information, visit the Web site. Also, see their ad on FMLink.
