July 29, 2005—The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) board of directors has approved an IICRC/American Risk Management Resources Network (ARMRN) sponsored insurance program, specially designed for mold remediation firms, for qualified IICRC-certified firms with special pricing options.
The introduction of universal mold exclusions into virtually all insurance policies has permanently changed the insurance needs of the restoration and remediation contracting industry and their customers, says IICRC. Many restoration companies are finding it difficult to locate proper business and liability insurances.
