October 23, 2002—SMART Technologies, Inc.’s latest SMART Board software for the Microsoft Windows operating system is now available in 10 languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, Korean, Portuguese, and Italian.
It features SMART Video Player and expanded functionality in SMART Notebook software and Microsoft Word and Excel applications. This latest version is now shipping with all SMART Board and Sympodium products. Customers with earlier versions can download the free upgrade of SMART Board software including SMART Board driver 7.1.1. and SMART Notebook 2.5.1 from the company’s Web site.
With SMART Board software, presenters can write over top of any computer application or Web page, edit notes, and save screen captures to a single file. SMART Notebook whiteboarding software provides unlimited whiteboarding space, and all notes and images become objects that users can move and resize. SMART Board software is compatible with both Windows-based and Macintosh computers.
This new version of SMART Board was displayed at the October IFMA World Workplace Conference in Toronto.
