July 10, 2006—LED Lighting Fixtures (LLF) recently announced what the company claims is another record in solid-state fixture performance at 80 lumens/watt from its most recent recessed downlight.
Testing by an independent lab showed the product as providing 600 lumens of warm white light at a color temperature of 3100 Kelvin, with a color-rendering index (CRI) of 92. These results reflect a ten-percent increase in efficiency from the company’s previous record of 73 lumens/watt announced April 24.
LLF expects to manufacture its initial light fixtures by the end of the year and intends to offer LED-based recessed downlight products at a substantially lower price and significantly higher brightness and quality than other LED products currently available in the market.
