May 24, 2004—Lees Carpets’ Visio Collection was recently recognized for its technological and sustainable advances with the highly coveted Design Journal Platinum Award for Design Excellence (ADEX).
The panel of judges, comprised of interior designers, architects, graphic designers and editorial staff, critiqued submissions in five categories: innovation, technological advancement, quality, aesthetics and value. Awards were granted in three levels, including Platinum, Gold and Silver, and acknowledge excellence in product design of furnishings marketed to the design trade.
The Visio Collection’s three designs—Starting Ground, Future Links and Connection Points—incorporate subtle geometry and understated textures. Worked into a tapestry of rich, sophisticated color selections, the broadloom line boasts the elegant look of simplicity.
The collection’s recycled and renewable content is comprised of 20-percent post-consumer recycled content, 19.4-percent post-industrial recycled content and 12.4-percent rapidly renewable bio-based resin. It is manufactured with Antron Legacy EPP Nylon with high recycled content.
