November 17, 2006—Lenel Systems International Inc. announces the release of IdentityDefender, a commercial, off-the-shelf solution for issuing identity credentials to trusted individuals using a secure process.
IdentityDefender fulfills the federal requirements of FIPS 201 and HSPD-12, which establish a universal identification standard for US government employees and contractors to provide access to both physical and logical resources. Lenel, a global leader in the development of integrated solutions, is part of UTC Fire & Safety, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
The flexibility of IdentityDefender’s modular design permits organizations to implement either the full end-to-end solution or individual components, as needs dictate. Component modules will integrate seamlessly into the organization’s current infrastructure to maximize its technology investments. Once an identity credential has been issued, IdentityDefender manages the life cycle of the credential for the existing physical and logical security systems.
