November 4, 2002—Meridian Project Systems (MPS), a provider of project management software and advanced production scheduling solutions, unveiled a new document management application geared for Prolog Manager users. Called Prolog Exchange, this application automatically stores incoming faxes, e-mails, and other project information entered via the Web and links it directly to Prolog Manager. MPS demonstrated the product at the 2002 Computers for Construction show, which took place in Dallas, Texas, October 22-24.
Available by year-end, Prolog Exchange allows users to manage and exchange incoming and outgoing data used in critical project management processes. Faxed data—such as responses to invitations to bid, pre-qualifications, invoice requests, monthly contract invoices, and other project information—can automatically be input into Prolog Manager or other third-party databases. This data can also be received and posted via e-mail or Web forms.
