July 13, 2007—The V / N series software from Mirasys is designed to control thousands of surveillance and security devices—such as cameras, microphones, text channels and electronic locks—through one interlinked recorder cluster.
Designed to run on a standard PC platform, the system offers extreme versatility and scalability; a V / N based system can be built to control the surveillance of a small business with four security cameras, or a huge interlinked security infrastructure with a mix of digital megapixel quality and analogue cameras, says the company.
Mirasys V / N 4.0 provides tools for combining alarm responses into automatic event sequences. For example, motion detected by one camera can automatically activate other cameras or microphones, change camera resolutions, disable electronic locks, set sound thresholds for multiple microphones, send automated alarm signals, or move cameras to target pre-specified positions.
