BOMA/Southwest Missouri and BOMA/Southern Nevada became the 105th and 106th local associations to join the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International federation, the leading advocacy organization for the commercial real estate industry.
BOMA/Southwest Missouri’s first goal is to make property professionals in and around Springfield feel like a part of a regional coalition that can provide support, networking opportunities, and education to each other. Another major priority for 2001 is increasing membership.
BOMA/Southern Nevada’s first projects will include the creation of a standardized life safety manual, a communications network to keep managers informed of all building code requirements and fire codes, membership recruitment, establishing education programs, top government affairs issues, and establishing media relationships.
