May 27, 2005—NAIMA Canada, a trade association for manufacturers of fiber glass, rock wool and slag wool insulation and the sister organization of The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), announced that it has been approved for membership in The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership, (REEEP).

The goal of REEEP is to expand the global market for renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable development through policy initiatives and the financing of innovative energy projects, NAIMA Canada says. NAIMA and now NAIMA Canadas involvement with REEEP underscores the focus and commitment both associations have to promoting global sustainable development and energy efficiency.

Backed by national governments, including Canada which recently joined, financial and business professionals, and non-government organizations, REEEP serves as a clearing house for renewable, energy efficient and sustainable development best practices in the global market.
